Donitas Cantina in Crested Butte

Polite servers, but found a hair in our food. They didn't charge us for it, but the manager didn't come by, nor was there any type of apology. Food was average, otherwise. We still paid for our drinks and son's food and left. 2 stars since our son liked his taco.

Love their salsa! We have been eating here my whole life & always come back :)

Delicious Mexican food and great service! Very kid friendly!

Solid Mexican option in CB. Sat by the fireplace which was nice. We both really enjoyed the food, the blue corn enchiladas special was really good. Margaritas were strong and refilled as soon as they got low. Overall very good and the price was decent for the quality of food and service.

Malcolm is a great bartender!!! Service was on point... the salsa, chili con queso and enchilada Acapulco were all 3 amazing!

Good but way overpriced relative to the quality of their food. Eg. Nothing special nacho chips + microwaved cheese = $10. That said, their salsa is the best.

We went here for dinner last night and neither of us were impressed with the food. Servers were polite but overall wouldn't recommend it!

We have to give 5 stars to the wait staff. They were very helpful and attentive. The food however was absolutely horrible!!! The guacamole was so tangy with lime juice that it gave you pucker power. You could not taste avocado at all. I had a shredded beef chimichanga with rice and pinto beans. The food was absolutely not edible for me and it was also cold. My spouse had the chicken enchilada and chili relleno with rice and beans. Again the food was cold. She ate everything because she was very hungry but paid the price by spending the rest of the night with a stomach ache and many trips to the bathroom. We paid $45.00 for both of us to hate this restaurant.

This place serves up fair Mexican food, nothing very special. Tried to go there tonight and after 15 minutes not one person came to the front to put us on the list so we went to Bonz and not only did we get seated right away in a crowded restaurant, the service was great and the food much better than Donitas. Good riddance...

Poor quality Mexican food. Chips were pretty much Tostitos. Salsa tasted like it came from a jar. Our dinners we're bland and low quality. Server was nice to start but then took forever to bring our check.

We walked out do to an old lady waitress with a piss poor attitude. She ignored us then acted like she was doing us a favor to serve us. Very strange behavior. We found many great places very close by. Don’t waste your time.

Best Mexican cuisine in Colorado. Lacy is raising their rent and pushing them out of business. A sad consequence of Vail buying our ski are.

I really like this place. Good margarita's and fantastic and friendly service. Might not be the best Mexican food you ever had but still very decent. Prices are reasonable too. AND, me and my husband LOVE their sopapillas! We make a point to stop there when we are in CB.

YALL mind putting some damn snow melt outside your restaurant?? No respect at all and it’s always so icy and has never been fixed. Slip here all the time as well as everyone else. Maybe more people like myself would come by if you had respect for the people that came here, your sidewalk is on a slope. You already have bad reviews, at least take care of your side walk and the locals.

Best Mexican food ever. I love this place. The old copper celling is ready cool. I highly recommend if you're anywhere near it

I have eaten at Donita's over 35 years and Tom the chef is becoming better and better!! His specials are so amazing and great. Had the most fantastic dinner special there 2 weeks ago with some of my best girlfriends. I like to eat early and they open at 5:30. They are now serving two different type of chips with salsa as an appetizer before you get your meal. I have always enjoyed the good food there

Fun, relaxed, warm atmosphere. This place is a locals favorite, family owned (2 sisters) since the 90s. They we're able to accommodate our group of 9.Great food and service.Authentic New Mexican Cuisine in downtown Crested Butte.We will be back for sure!

Came here on a monday night and there was a wait but no hostess was taking names, people would just come in and write their names down themselves. There were several large groups, our first poor waitress looked very tired. This place was severely understaffed and service was slow. There didn't seem to be any sort of manager around either, just the bartender and two waiters dealing with a full restaurant. The queso was good but a palty amount for /$9/. The two tacos my dad ordered for $4.50 each were more like mini tacos. I got the mild red sauce on my enchiladas and it was spicy-ish, but the enchiladas themselves were so good (just dont expect them to be like Tex-mex enchiladas that are smothered in cheese). Our second waiter Chris was nice but just as overwhelmed. Wouldn't recommend this place when its busy, also the margarita prices are through the roof so maybe come during happy hour.

Really nice personal experience sharing photos and stories with our server. She went above and beyond with great vegetarian suggestions for us. They care a lot about all of the various dietary restrictions (gluten, etc). Not that we have those issues...but, it was just mentioned in conversation. Super friendly spot!

Great food! Frozen margaritas were not frozen! But on tbe rocks is best margaritas.

We waited 10 minutes for the hostess before seating ourselves. The guacamole was basically just mashed avocados. We can make better at home in a few minutes. The shrimp fajitas were over cooked. The margaritas were good. Drink here. Eat elsewhere.

Two words: Chicken Chimichanga. When I dream of Crested Butte, I'm not thinking of skiing Paradise bowl, I'm thinking of that chicken chimi. Every mexican restaurant I go to, I try the chicken chimi and I've never had one as good.
